The Backstory
Home Renovation Project on Whidbey Island
The owners have a main home in Edmonds and purchased this vacation home in Langley because one of them grew up (or lived in as an early adult with her kids) in the neighborhood so she knew the minute they found this house, it would be theirs. Unfortunately, the remodel has turned into a much larger project than they had anticipated, and have had to take it down to the studs!
This home will be absolutely beautiful when it is done, it will be completely remodeled in EVERY way imaginable. When we stop by for the first time, the house was about ¾ of the way through demolition, there was no evidence of what heating system was in the home prior to the demo, other than some return air ducts in the attic, so we decided to start with a completely new system.
The homeowners have been working on this remodel project for the last 4/5 months and driving back and forth on the weekends, and have done most of the work themselves.

Neither homeowners wanted to have a propane tank on their property so that made the all-electric equipment decision easy. Saying that we chose a Lennox Heat Pump Model XP16-036 Elite Series, a Lennox Signature Series Air Handler, and a Honeywell T6 multi-stage thermostat. Our installation team also customized the ductwork, which is a hidden element that is crucial to your home comfort, as ductwork is the system by which warm or cool air circulates throughout your home.
